Well I do like the details =)
As a kid, i remember there was a picture book we loved, because aside from the story, there was this lizard that was in all the pictures and it was always doing something different in each, and yet it was not part of the story. Like there was no mention of it at all but it was something the artist probably added to amuse them self. I loved that detail XD

hahah yeah I remember reading a book like that too. I think it was called Goodnight Moon, and in one every page there was a mouse somewhere... I loved that the artist had included something that maybe not everyone would notice, but that was simply there.

Mine was in Russian and I think it was about... its been ages... there were monkeys and zebras and lions?  going to say it was based in Africa but man i can't remember most of it. I do think there was a tookan that made an appearance but was not part of the story.  wish i could get my hands on it now.

It sounds really good :-) If you do remember the title of it, theres a website called thriftbooks.com that has second hand books for sale, you'd probably have a good chance of finding it there, especially if its an obscure book.
