Alright, I'm working on this right now (and watching a Let's Play of FF8)
and thought I'd do real time progress shots, and a bit of an explanation of my usual approach to mini portraits. The only difference is sometimes I do the rough or detailed sketch in pencil, scan and do the line art over it.
It depends really because SOMETIMES I just can't draw digital. Its really weird. I crave the feel of paper and pencil under my hand.
